The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year. Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings. Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year. The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show. The champion will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December. The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros. She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent. Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent. She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women. Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October. "Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters." Luke Littler Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history. He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown. His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion. At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record. "Being nominated for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." Perrin's Profile Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s. It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition. Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA. "I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
